I am a representational artist living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My work is in US galleries, museums, art books, and has been featured in art magazines. I paint in oil all subject matter including still life, figure, portrait, wild life, and landscape. I have worked full time as a professional artist for about 6 years now. Prior to this I was a physicist at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center for 28 years working in the area of solid state physics (insulators and interfaces). Although I had been drawing and painting since I was 5 years old and studied art at various points in my life, it was at the Reilly League of Artists in White, Plains, NY that I turned to oil painting under the direction of Cesare Borgia (now deceased) and started to develop the techniques that I now use.
